
News 10 Now, the 24 hour Time Warner Cable news channel in Syracuse New York reported Monday evening they received a letter from Jiverly Wong, the gunman behind the shootings at Binghamton’s American Civic Association. Click here to see letter.The letter included a rambling note in broken English, and included several photos of him holding guns. It appeared Wong also sent his drivers license. According to the information posted on News 10’s website, the letter arrived in the newsroom Monday. It contained a letter, photographs of Wong with weapons, what appears to be his driver’s license and his pistol permit. Part of the letter reads: "I am Jiverly Wong shooting the people."
News 10 says the envelope the letter came in was postmarked from Binghamton, April 3rd; it was the same day Wong shot and killed 14 people, including himself. The letter inside was dated March 18th. News 10 Now says they contacted authorities and handed over the contents of the letter. The 24-hour news channel says the letter was neatly written in broken english. The letter claimed the shooting was the result of years of harassment from authorities.
